Director, IT Security (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States. Travel to client, temporary, or corporate office locations may be required.

Salary: $141,300–$223,200 per year, based on experience.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of cybersecurity platforms, including SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM, vulnerability management, firewalls, and network security tools.
• Lead deployment, configuration, tuning, upgrades, integrations, licensing, service levels, and end-of-life planning.
• Manage security engineers and analysts while contributing directly to platform administration and technical problem-solving.
• Evaluate security tools, manage vendors and contracts, and oversee cybersecurity platform budgets and cost optimization.
• Establish change control, configuration management, control assurance, and platform performance measurement practices.
• Partner with incident response, threat intelligence, compliance, and IT teams; report platform status, risks, metrics, and roadmaps to the Deputy CISO.

Requirements

• CISSP, CompTIA SecurityX, GIAC certification, or equivalent technical certification.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience and at least 2–3 years of leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience administering SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM, vulnerability management, or network security platforms.
• Experience building threat-based cybersecurity programs and implementing security controls and compliance programs.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.
