Procurement Specialist

TL;DR

Procurement Specialist: Supporting and ensuring completion of procurement processes for administrative departments with an accent on sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management. Focus on developing product specifications, issuing RFQs, releasing POs, and monitoring supplier performance and deliveries.

What you will do

• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and monitor sourcing processes.
• Develop product/service specifications with business areas to communicate needs to suppliers.
• Initiate non-complex sourcing by obtaining competitive quotes via RFQs.
• Negotiate costs and delivery schedules to establish pricing and performance standards through POs.
• Release purchase orders, prepare and process contract documents.
• Track and monitor acquisition contracts, software licensing, and hardware maintenance renewals.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years relevant experience in purchasing and/or indirect procurement
• In-depth understanding of office procurement requirements.
• Extensive knowledge of technology hardware/software procurement.
