Director, Sourcing

TL;DR

Director, Sourcing (Medical Technology): Lead procurement strategies for categories including Resins, Metals, Fabrics, Foam, Chemicals, and Finished Goods with an accent on supplier selection, management, and optimization. Focus on developing long-range category plans, leveraging spend analytics for value creation, and mitigating supply chain risks.

Location: Dallas, TX preferred. Open to U.S. Remote. Must have full-time work authorization in the United States, both now and in the future, without requiring sponsorship.

What you will do

• Lead procurement strategies for assigned categories accountable for $150M+ direct material spend across raw materials and finished goods.
• Develop and improve category strategies using spend data analytics, market research, and cost modeling to deliver value and efficiencies.
• Build and manage a high-performing team of procurement professionals, guiding supplier selection, negotiations, and supply chain optimization.
• Influence business decisions on product lines, make/buy choices, and supply base optimizations in a matrixed environment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to ensure compliance, performance optimization, and innovation harnessing.
• Set continuous improvement goals and lead cross-functional initiatives to meet targets.

Requirements

• Must be able to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
• 10+ years progressive experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Purchasing, and Supply Inventory planning.
• Experience with MRP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite; negotiation and contract development.
• Deep end-to-end procurement process knowledge; 10+ years strategic sourcing leveraging data.
• 5+ years leading categories and teams in a regulated environment; strong global leadership and influencing skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required; strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CSCP or CPSM.
• Experience in high-growth organizations and sustainable sourcing practices.
