What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure on AWS using Aurora PostgreSQL, RDS, S3, and Snowflake.
• Implement core data systems for ingestion, transformation, storage, and orchestration.
• Ensure reliability, performance, availability, and cost efficiency of data platforms.
• Apply best practices in data modeling, observability, IaC, and CI/CD automation.
• Support distributed data systems like PostgreSQL/Aurora, Snowflake, Kafka, and caching.
• Partner with data, engineering, analytics, and AI teams for efficient data access; mentor juniors and participate in on-call.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years in cloud-based data infrastructure, database engineering, or related roles
• Minimum 5 years hands-on with AWS data services (Aurora, RDS, S3, IAM, Lambda, Glue, Athena)
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL/Aurora and Snowflake or similar.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting/programming (Python, Shell).
• Hands-on with Terraform and GitLab for CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience optimizing database performance and high-throughput systems.

Nice to have

• Real-time/streaming data (Kafka, Databricks).
• Data governance, lineage, compliance (HIPAA, SOC2).
• Analytics orchestration (Airflow, dbt).
• Database migrations from Oracle to modern stores.
• OpenSearch, Cassandra, GCP, or Azure.
