Sr. Production Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Salary: $119,000 - $170,000 USD

What you will do

• Implement highly available and scalable infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and bare-metal environments.
• Develop Python and Go code to eliminate manual toil and build self-healing systems.
• Maintain sophisticated observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry, and define SLIs/SLOs.
• Lead incident response as an Incident Commander and conduct deep-dive post-incident analyses.
• Partner with Engineering teams to conduct technical operability reviews.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience managing reliability and scalability for large-scale production services.
• Deep expertise in programming languages such as Python, Go, or C/C++.
• Strong background in Linux/RHEL systems, networking protocols, and distributed architecture.
• Experience in high-stakes incident management and participation in 24/7 on-call rotations.
• Must be based in the USA (specifically California for the remote/hybrid options).

Nice to have

• Extensive experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Temporal.
• Expertise in global routing (BGP), traffic tunneling (GRE, IPSec), and L7 proxy architectures (HAProxy).
• Experience with chaos engineering and disaster recovery planning at scale.
