Sr. DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $128,000–$176,000 annual base salary, plus potential discretionary bonuses

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform/OpenTofu, Python, and Kubernetes.
• Modernize platform tooling, production EKS environments, and managed datastores including RDS, Aurora, and ElastiCache.
• Build internal platform tools, developer templates, and self-service CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure and operations tasks and improve the developer experience in collaboration with engineering, data science, and machine learning teams.
• Operationalize cloud security through vulnerability remediation, IAM policies, and compliance guardrails.
• Monitor system and network performance and implement measures that improve infrastructure availability and reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure roles focused on public cloud environments.
• AWS experience, including production administration, scaling, and troubleshooting of multi-tenant EKS environments.
• Experience building modular, reusable Terraform or OpenTofu infrastructure.
• Experience with Helm templates and packages and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
• Strong coding skills in Python, Go, or Bash for automation and internal development tools.
• Strong communication, collaboration, independent problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Karpenter, cluster autoscaling, and cloud cost optimization.
• Familiarity with developer self-service tooling or internal developer portals.
• Experience with logging analysis, performance monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Experience supporting machine learning and data science workloads in the cloud, including SageMaker integrations or feature stores.
