Technology Lead (AWS)

Location: Remote (UK), available in London, United Kingdom and Paris, France. Flexible Activity-Based Work model: use office for collaboration, remote for focused tasks.

Salary: £90,000–£120,000

What you will do

• Own system design and end-to-end delivery of complex, high-impact initiatives including mission-critical services.
• Build and evolve AWS cloud-native systems (Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, SQS, API Gateway, CloudWatch) with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Set standards for code quality, automated testing, observability, security, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive delivery, collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams to shape technical roadmap.
• Mentor engineers, support hiring/onboarding, and encourage AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements

• Proven experience as Tech Lead, Staff or Senior Engineer owning complex production systems.
• Strong hands-on AWS and cloud-native architecture expertise.
• Proficiency in modern languages (Python, Java, Node.js etc.), system design, distributed systems, scalability, APIs, data modeling.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform), CI/CD, observability, robust testing strategies.
• Comfortable in Agile, cross-functional collaboration, ambiguous situations, strong communication.
