Senior Platform Engineer (AWS)

Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States; hybrid and flexible working. Regular travel to Switzerland is required.

What you will do

• Design and operate a multi-tenant AWS environment, including account structures, guardrails, networking, and security baselines.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code modules and landing zones with Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Shape observability for a distributed serverless system and collaborate with SRE and product teams.
• Develop FinOps practices covering cost visibility, tenant attribution, concurrency, memory, and invocation-cost optimization.
• Establish identity, access, and cost controls for Amazon Bedrock and support federation with client-managed identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID.
• Participate in on-call coverage, mentor colleagues, and support a platform-as-a-product culture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps.
• Substantial hands-on AWS experience and Infrastructure-as-Code expertise with Terraform or OpenTofu, including multi-account and landing-zone design.
• Clear understanding of observability for distributed systems.
• Strong automation and scripting skills; Rust, TypeScript, or Python experience is suitable.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence and enable product teams.
• Regular travel to Switzerland is required.

Nice to have

• AWS serverless and event-driven architecture experience, including idempotency, retries, dead-letter queues, and failure handling.
• Experience with AI agents, FinOps, identity federation, multi-tenant identity models, or B2B SaaS platforms.
• Financial-services experience with security, compliance, and auditability requirements.
• GitHub Actions, Amazon Bedrock, comparable managed AI services, or relevant AWS certifications.
