What you will do
- Lead material planning and execution across Directed Energy programs from development through production and sustainment.
- Serve as material lead in Integrated Product Teams, aligning with cost, schedule, and technical baselines.
- Oversee major subcontractors for laser subsystems, optics, electro-optical systems, and electronics, including on-site visits, audits, and performance reviews.
- Conduct financial reviews, EAC validation, variance analysis, and Earned Value Management reporting.
- Coordinate supply chain procurement, mitigate risks for long-lead components, and support supplier qualification.
- Support production ramp-up, manufacturing readiness reviews, configuration control, quality compliance, and fielding/sustainment planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field.
- 10+ years in material management, supply chain, subcontract management, or program execution in defense/aerospace.
- Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and DoD development/production programs.
- Experience with program financial tracking, EAC, and cost management.
- Strong understanding of defense acquisition, configuration management, and quality systems.
- Willingness to travel frequently (20–40%) and ability to obtain/maintain U.S. DoD security clearance.
Nice to have
- Experience with Directed Energy, EO/IR, laser systems, or precision tracking.
- U.S. Army/DoD rapid acquisition programs and Earned Value Management.
- PMP certification, production ramp experience, and ERP systems (SAP, Costpoint, Oracle).
