TL;DR
Technical Sales Engineer (Optical Networking): Delivering technical leadership and solution design for Tier 1 service providers with an accent on optical networking solutions and business value. Location: Must be based in Dallas, TX (On-site presence required 3+ days per week)
Salary: $111,700 - $178,400 USD

What you will do
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to service provider customers across engineering, operations, and executive stakeholders.
- Translate customer requirements into end-to-end solution designs using hardware, software, and services.
- Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to communicate solution capabilities and business outcomes.
- Develop optical network designs and engineering documentation for new technology proposals.
- Create bills of materials, quotes, and customer-facing templates.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to support account strategy and opportunity execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or architectural roles supporting Tier 1 service providers.
- Expertise in optical networking technologies within network engineering or sales environments.
- Experience with portfolio elements (RLS, Waveserver, Navigator, Planner Plus, SAOS).
- Proficiency in creating optical network designs using Planner Plus.
- On-site presence in Dallas, TX three or more days per week.
Nice to have
- Background in 4G and 5G wireless networking (xRAN, fronthaul, midhaul, backhaul).
- Exposure to automation, analytics, and AI applications in networking operations.
- Relevant industry certifications in optical or service provider networking.
