DevSecOps Engineer (Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Build, configure, harden, and maintain on-premise development, testing, and production environments, including virtual machines, storage, databases, and Kubernetes clusters.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Helm.
• Configure services, manage access, and support deployments, troubleshooting, testing, and validation for systems used in course delivery.
• Implement identity and access management, secrets management, RBAC, security scanning, and compliance checks.
• Monitor system and application performance, support incident response and vulnerability remediation, and improve automation and security toolchains.
• Create runbooks, playbooks, system diagrams, documentation, and infrastructure models while collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 5+ years of applicable software development experience.
• Experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Python, C++, JavaScript, or TypeScript; SQL/NoSQL databases; and web technologies including HTML, CSS, AJAX, and JSON/XML.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux platforms, Agile methodologies, and container orchestration with Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• Applicants must provide documentation verifying U.S. person status under ITAR/EAR requirements; some positions require current U.S. citizenship.

Nice to have

• Security+ or DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
• Experience with VMware ESXi/vCenter, PowerShell, Bash, PowerCLI, Go, API scripting, STIG guidance, and system hardening.
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket.
