DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Lackland AFB, Texas, United States; customer support onsite in San Antonio, TX

Salary: $103,691–$169,212 per year

What you will do

• Develop and deploy cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS.
• Develop and deploy edge infrastructure using on-premise and portable equipment.
• Automate deployment processes and improve service reliability, scalability, and availability.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and AWS infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into the infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems while improving tools and operational performance.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with configuration management, CI/CD, automation, and AWS/EKS.
• Linux systems administration, Bash scripting, and Python programming skills.
• Experience supporting cloud, on-premise, and portable edge infrastructure.
• Ability to combine hands-on execution with mentorship and team leadership at a senior level.

Nice to have

• Big data experience with technologies such as Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto.
• Experience with containers, EKS, Diode, CI/CD, or Terraform.
