Location: United States (Austin, TX headquarters). Base salary range provided for US-based employees.

What you will do

  • Own all accounting for sales commissions, including expense recognition, accruals, deferrals, amortization, true-ups, and technical memos under U.S. GAAP (ASC 606).
  • Maintain SOX-compliant internal controls, perform key control activities, and support internal/external audits.
  • Oversee end-to-end commission calculation and payout processes in partnership with Sales Operations.
  • Lead commission tool implementations, enhancements, and process improvements for automation and efficiency.
  • Provide strategic advice on compensation structures, forecasting, and risk mitigation to leadership.
  • Manage and develop commission team members while driving finance transformation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including commission or incentive compensation accounting
  • Strong understanding of sales compensation plans, commission structures, and crediting models
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX internal controls
  • Hands-on experience with external audits, internal audit testing, and public company processes
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with commission systems (e.g., Xactly)
  • Experience in high-growth SaaS environments with global sales teams
