What you will do
- Review customer contracts and order forms to determine appropriate revenue recognition under ASC 606.
- Drive monthly and quarterly revenue closes, including journal entries, deferrals, and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with Finance Operations and Billing teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.
- Oversee commission calculations and related financial reporting.
- Support external financial audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Lead process improvements and system enhancements to scale revenue accounting operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Revenue Accounting at a high-growth technology company.
- Strong technical knowledge of ASC 606 for software and SaaS.
- Proficiency with revenue accounting systems such as Workday Financials, NetSuite ARM, or Zuora Revenue.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Nice to have
- Experience leading revenue system implementations or major enhancements.
- Background partnering with Billing, Deal Desk, or Finance Operations teams.
- Experience in a public company or SOX-compliant environment.
