What you will do

  • Analyze FMLA, company leave policies, and short-term disability benefits to determine eligibility.
  • Manage end-to-end claim experience and assigned work queues within SLAs.
  • Evaluate medical documentation and utilize clinical/vocational resources for claim strategies.
  • Build relationships with internal/external stakeholders and document decisions clearly.
  • Communicate claim decisions and benefits professionally with empathy via phone and writing.
  • Obtain necessary medical documentation from providers for adjudication.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in STD, FMLA, or unpaid leave claims management.
  • Strong decision-making, critical thinking, and medical/vocational management skills.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook.
  • High attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks in fast-paced environment, and collaborative mindset.
