TL;DR
Senior Director, Medical Affairs - Respiratory (Medical Affairs/Respiratory): Developing and leading global Medical Affairs therapy strategy, planning, and data-generation activities with an accent on launch planning, cross-functional medical leadership, and thought-leader engagement. Focus on building a cohesive One Insmed respiratory strategy, aligning regional and functional stakeholders, and driving innovative medical planning across geographic regions.

Location: Fully remote and performable from anywhere; occasional team meetings, events, and frequent domestic and international travel of up to 25% are expected.

Salary: $273,000–$372,000 annual

What you will do

  • Develop, implement, and lead global respiratory Medical Affairs therapy strategy and planning.
  • Drive Medical Affairs plans and ensure delivery against critical launch-planning milestones.
  • Provide medical leadership to clinical, operations, HEOR, commercial, development, regional, and finance partners.
  • Build external relationships across the respiratory therapy area and lead thought-leader engagement.
  • Develop data-generation strategies, conduct gap analysis, and guide product data plans.
  • Review publications, create medical backgrounders and FAQs, develop internal training, and manage medical activity budgets.

Requirements

  • MD degree with previous pulmonology experience.
  • 8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience.
  • Leadership experience across Medical Affairs, including launch experience and the ability to lead by influence in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Medical Affairs planning, operational excellence, strategic thinking, stakeholder collaboration, and change management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and represent Medical Affairs cross-functionally.

Nice to have

  • Board-certified pulmonologist credentials.
  • Global experience or experience across multiple regions, including the United States.
