Senior Director, Clinical Development Medical Director- Chronic Weight Management (Obesity)

What you will do

• Support the development, execution, and communication of global scientific and medical evidence plans for chronic weight management.
• Provide clinical and scientific input throughout clinical trial development, execution, data interpretation, and safety assessments.
• Participate in interactions with regulatory agencies and contribute to regulatory and safety documents.
• Author clinical study reports, publications, and regulatory submissions.
• Develop relationships with key opinion leaders and present scientific content at advisory boards and scientific meetings.
• Identify clinical research opportunities and support lifecycle management, licensing activities, and partner relationships.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• At least 5 years of clinical research and/or basic science research experience.
• At least 5 years of managerial or leadership experience managing people, teams, projects, programs, or resources.
• Experience with clinical research and clinical trial design, including biostatistics.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices, FDA and EMEA/CHMP regulations and guidelines, and applicable international regulatory requirements.
• Ability to present ideas effectively and document complex medical and clinical concepts in written and oral communication.

Nice to have

• More than 5 years of clinical research experience combined with clinical teaching and patient care, particularly in obesity, chronic weight management, or sleep apnea.
• Clinical research experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including biotech, pharmaceutical, or CRO companies.
• Experience working as a medical expert in a complex matrix environment.
