Corporate Communications Intern (Part-time) (Corporate Communications): Supporting internal and external communications for a large energy sustainability company with an accent on content drafting, project ownership, and cross-functional collaboration. Focus on launching Viva Engage enterprise platform and leading annual Week of Service volunteer initiative communications.

Location: Austin, TX or Tampa Bay, FL areas only (remote or hybrid depending on candidate location)

Compensation: $20–$23 / hour (USD, hourly)

What you will do

• Draft internal content including intranet posts, newsletters, and company-wide announcements
• Proofread and QA communications for accuracy, formatting, and brand alignment
• Support internal communications calendar, metrics, and continuous improvement
• Lead launch of Viva Engage platform: draft governance guidelines, enablement materials, and launch communications
• Lead Week of Service initiative: develop content plan, collect employee stories, draft channel content
• Draft social media content for LinkedIn and Instagram, develop copy for graphics

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in communications, PR, journalism, marketing, or related field
• Strong writing skills with attention to clarity, accuracy, and detail
• Comfortable with Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Forms)
• Organized, dependable, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Comfortable collaborating across distributed organization
• Authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship
• Genuine interest in corporate communications, employee engagement, and energy sustainability
