Communications Consultant

TL;DR

Communications Consultant: Support intranet maintenance and improvement, lead employee engagement initiatives, and provide internal/external multi-media communications with an accent on writing, editing, and content creation. Focus on planning events, crafting messaging for various audiences, and innovating communications processes.

Location: Flexible hybrid schedule at 483 Bay Street, Toronto until late 2026, then new office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway, Mississauga. Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.

Salary: $79,000–$96,000 (base) + discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

• Support and improve hirify.global’s intranet (inSite) by collaborating with internal partners to meet business needs.
• Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives including Voice of the Employee program, Giveaway program, and special events.
• Provide writing and editing support for employer awards, corporate/executive messaging, media responses, webcasts, podcasts, social media, and charitable campaigns.
• Proactively learn communications best practices, identify innovation opportunities, and inspire process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree ideally in communications, public relations, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn complex matters quickly and exercise superior judgment on audience needs.
• Strong team player thriving in fast-paced, agile environment with changing priorities.
• Current work authorization for Canada required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge/experience with Content Management Systems, intranet technologies, or survey applications.
• Strong presentation skills.
