Salary: $176,000 - $237,600

What you will do

• Create managed compute primitives with crisp abstractions and clean APIs for hirify.global Cloud.
• Design self-optimizing autoscaling systems using signals, backstops, and guardrails to scale worker fleets safely.
• Architect and operate high-performance services on the task execution hot path where correctness is critical.
• Deliver cloud integrations involving IAM boundaries, secure credential handling, and networking constraints.
• Implement operability features including SLOs, tracing, metrics, and continuous system hardening.
• Provide technical leadership through design documentation, mentorship, and cross-team collaboration.

Requirements

• Significant experience building distributed systems or multi-tenant platform services.
• Strong systems fundamentals in concurrency, performance, reliability, and failure-mode thinking.
• Proven track record of shipping platform primitives such as APIs, control planes, and data planes.
• Comfort owning operational outcomes, including SLOs and incident response.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Excellent written communication and ability to perform crisp tradeoff analysis.

Nice to have

• Experience building cloud infrastructure platforms.
• Experience with IAM and security boundaries for cross-account execution models.
• Experience building Kubernetes controllers, CRDs, or heterogeneous worker fleet operations.
• Proficiency with Go.
