Location: Hybrid at Digital Grid Management Headquarters in Medina, Minnesota (4 days per week in office, 1 day remote). Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship for visas (E, F-1, H-1, etc.).
Salary: $90,200 - $112,800

What you will do
- Develop and maintain mission-critical grid and DER-related applications using C++.
- Collaborate with software developers, architects, and power systems experts to design DERMS capabilities.
- Implement reliable, performant, fault-tolerant code based on power systems requirements and user stories.
- Ensure quality through unit testing, participate in code/design reviews and agile ceremonies.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues in algorithmic logic and power-system functionality.
- Communicate technical concepts to power systems specialists and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Software Engineering or related field.
- Formal education and professional experience in power systems engineering and power electronics.
- Knowledge of modern grid technologies (DERMS, DMS, BES, VVO, VPP) preferred.
- Familiarity with mixed integer programming, convex optimization, and solvers like Gurobi, CLP, CBC.
- Strong optimization techniques knowledge and problem-solving in collaborative environment.
- Electrical engineering background in utility industry preferred; desire to support global decarbonization.
