What you will do

• Manage compute planning for supervised learning (SL), reinforcement learning (RL), and sandboxing workloads, including forecasting and allocation.
• Monitor the health of scientific RL environments and drive the resolution of quality and reward integrity issues.
• Expedite external vendor pipelines for RL environments, overseeing quality review and production integration.
• Collaborate with research teams in life sciences and STEM to translate goals into capabilities roadmaps.
• Establish operational frameworks that bring structure to research environments without slowing down researchers.
• Coordinate between research leads and infrastructure engineers to identify blockers and make technical trade-off decisions.

Requirements

• Background in ML engineering, ML research, or STEM R&D prior to transitioning into program management.
• Deep, hands-on experience with ML training pipelines, RLHF systems, and large-scale production data infrastructure.
• Proven track record of building execution plans and processes that reduce operational overhead.
• Ability to quickly build contextual understanding in unfamiliar technical domains.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to influence senior technical staff.
• Must be based in or able to work from San Francisco or New York City (Hybrid).
