Salary: $175,000–$215,000

What you will do

• Manage daily execution of AI-enabled software workstreams, tracking dependencies and resolving blockers across engineering and AI teams.
• Implement modern software acquisition and delivery strategies within DoD frameworks to replace legacy waterfall approaches.
• Lead Agile/Hybrid delivery processes, including sprint planning and backlog prioritization for AI-driven systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and data scientists on optimization engines, analytics pipelines, and ML models.
• Act as a stand-in for the Program Manager in high-level meetings and time-sensitive execution decisions.
• Proactively manage technical, data, and integration risks using RAID logs and decision records.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience managing or leading software-intensive DoD programs.
• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
• Currently reside in the Washington, DC area.
• Hands-on experience with Agile or Hybrid software delivery frameworks.
• Experience with advanced analytics, AI/ML, optimization, or data-driven systems.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and influence technical teams without authority.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling AI-enabled or data-centric systems from prototype to operational scale.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, cloud-native architectures, or secure data pipelines.
• Experience operating in high-tempo, high-visibility programs.
