What you will do

• Define the multi-year technical vision and architecture for the Fintech Risk Platform supporting $1T+ annual money movement.
• Architect end-to-end risk decisioning systems including identity verification, fraud detection, compliance, and dispute handling.
• Develop resilient, fault-tolerant distributed systems handling billions of transactions with sub-second latency.
• Integrate advanced ML models and GenAI into risk workflows for adaptive policy generation and fraud classification.
• Own key business metrics such as fraud loss rates, false positive rates, and customer churn.
• Mentor senior and staff engineers while driving engineering excellence in scalability, reliability, and observability.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Mountain View, CA or New York, NY
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of experience building and scaling complex distributed systems with a strong track record of technical leadership.
• Proven experience architecting large-scale financial systems, payment platforms, or risk/fraud systems.
• Deep expertise in backend systems (Java, Spring Boot), frontend (React), and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Strong experience with production AI/ML systems, real-time decisioning, and proficiency in Python and SQL.
