TL;DR

Onsite Medical Representative (Workplace Health & Safety): Assess and administer first aid for occupational and non-occupational injuries with an accent on risk minimization, education, and workers' compensation coordination. Focus on providing coaching on safe work habits, maintaining medical records, and supporting emergency response.

Location: USA, CA, Shafter (onsite)

Salary: 26.00 - 31.00 USD hourly

What you will do

  • Provide first aid support and refer to external medical providers as needed.
  • Minimize injury risk through associate education, awareness, and proactive engagement.
  • Maintain records of care, coordinate workers’ compensation, and manage return-to-work programs.
  • Coach associates and leadership on safe work habits observed on the operations floor.
  • Participate in safety meetings, case reviews, and training for first aid, CPR, and AED.
  • Assist with drug testing, emergency response, and maintain medical supplies and clean environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current BLS certification; plus EMT/Paramedic certification or Athletic Trainer certification.
  • Ability to lift 49 lbs, stand/walk 12 hours, work in variable temperatures/noise, flexible shifts including nights/weekends/holidays.
  • Obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 3 weeks if not held.

Nice to have

  • Certified to teach first aid, CPR, AED.
  • Experience with industrial wellness, OSHA, workers' comp, ergonomics, musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital recordkeeping.
  • Recent military medical experience (Combat Medic, etc.).
