hirify.global is an independent renewable energy producer operating hydroelectric, wind, solar, and energy storage facilities globally.

What you will do

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements.
  • Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and excise tax returns.
  • Lead, motivate, and coordinate a team of accountants and the master data team.
  • Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and the ERP system in partnership with IT.
  • Establish and maintain rigorous internal controls and assist in annual audit reports.
  • Participate in the budget process and provide value-added monthly analyses.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of accounting experience in both professional firms and in-house roles.
  • CPA certification and Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Proven experience in team management.
  • Bilingualism in French and English (both spoken and written) for collaboration with stakeholders outside Quebec.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Fusion, OneStream, Jira, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards.

Nice to have

  • Experience as an auditor in a professional firm.
  • Practical knowledge of ERP software and experience implementing accounting applications.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP.
