What you will do

• Build AI platform capabilities powering product experiences such as Deep Dive, predictive coding, multi-modal understanding, and agentic workflows.
• Contribute to RAG, semantic retrieval, and agentic orchestration patterns, including indexing pipelines and query flows.
• Collaborate with Product, Platform, Security, and DevOps partners to ship new features in production environments.
• Scale systems to handle larger datasets containing hundreds of millions of documents.
• Provide technical mentorship to other engineers and conduct rigorous code reviews.
• Triage product issues and provide on-call support to resolve defects and system exceptions.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent coursework.
• Proficiency in coding in languages such as Python, Java, Go, Rust, C++, or C#.
• Practical experience with AI/ML-powered systems, including retrieval pipelines, semantic search, or LLM-integrated features.
• At least 4 years of experience building distributed systems in the cloud with service-based architecture.
• At least 1 year of experience leading or coordinating multi-developer efforts.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Oakland, California.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with building software on the AWS platform.
• Experience with MySQL, Postgres, or vector/graph databases.
• Knowledge of LLMOps.
