Development & Research Senior Engineer (Metallurgy)

TL;DR

Development & Research Senior Engineer (Metallurgy): Lead material and failure analysis investigations for undercarriage components with an accent on metallurgical product development and design support. Focus on developing testing plans, performing root cause analysis, and providing technical support for laboratory operations.

Location: Onsite 5 days a week in Mossville, IL, USA

What you will do

• Lead material and material failure analysis investigations for undercarriage product groups.
• Develop metallurgical testing plans and analyze the resulting data.
• Create technical reports and standard operating procedures.
• Provide technical support to metallurgical laboratory operations and product design engineers.
• Support deviation requests and assurance of supply opportunities.
• Communicate technical results effectively to internal customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical or Materials Science Engineering.
• Strong skills in analytical thinking, decision making, and critical thinking.
• Experience in project management and troubleshooting technical problems.
• Knowledge of manufacturing standards, procedures, and product testing.
• Visa sponsorship is NOT available.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Materials or Metallurgical Engineering.
• Prior failure analysis experience with ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
• Experience with foundry, casting, and heat treatment processes.
• Experience with component design or supporting manufacturing operations.
