What you will do

• Lead a team of senior and principal engineers acting as technical owners.
• Set the technical strategy and architectural direction for AI/ML platforms.
• Remain hands-on (~25%) with system design, architecture reviews, and complex problem solving.
• Partner with product and research teams to deliver impactful solutions.
• Hire, mentor, and elevate top-tier engineering talent.
• Remove technical blockers to ensure high-quality and fast delivery.

Requirements

• Experience leading senior/principal engineers in high-autonomy environments.
• Strong technical depth in large-scale systems and architecture.
• Background in AI/ML-driven products, ideally within scientific or complex domains.
• Proven ability to operate both strategically and hands-on.
• Experience working with researchers or domain experts.
• Must be located in or able to work onsite in Cambridge, MA (4 days/week).
