What you will do

• Define and own the technical strategy and architecture for a portfolio-wide AI platform.
• Hire, lead, and develop an elite engineering team composed entirely of Principal Engineers.
• Make critical decisions regarding system design, scalability, and build vs. buy strategies.
• Translate complex ideas into production systems by collaborating with product and research stakeholders.
• Remain hands-on (~25%) by directly contributing to architecture and complex system design.
• Drive the adoption of AI-augmented development workflows at scale.

Requirements

• Experience leading senior and principal engineers in high-performance teams.
• Strong expertise in system design and software architecture.
• Background working in startup or high-autonomy environments.
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with direct technical contributions.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Cambridge, MA.
