What you will do

• Design, improve, and strengthen financial controls across the group to ensure operational effectiveness.
• Document controls and processes using clear narratives, process maps, and supporting documentation.
• Identify control gaps and weaknesses and implement remediation plans and closure evidence.
• Manage core finance process controls across Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Treasury, and Record to Report.
• Support internal control reviews, assurance activity, and external audit requirements.
• Partner with finance and non-finance stakeholders to embed proportionate and effective controls.

Requirements

• Background in finance operations such as Record to Report, AP, AR, O2C, or P2P.
• Experience documenting processes using narratives or flowcharts.
• Proficiency with finance or ERP systems and an understanding of end-to-end finance flows.
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (AAT, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Must be based in or able to work in Manchester on a hybrid basis.

Nice to have

• Experience working with financial controls, reconciliations, or finance process governance.
• Exposure to audit, controls, or assurance frameworks.
• Experience supporting external audit activities.
