What you will do

• Own multiple subsystems or a single subsystem across concurrent drone projects as primary engineer.
• Design high-complexity PCBAs incorporating DFT, DFM, and EMC best practices for first-pass success.
• Drive EMI/EMC compliance testing and conduct trade studies for new technologies.
• Write and execute Engineering Verification Test (EVT) procedures, troubleshoot issues from EVT/DVT/field.
• Lead design reviews, perform PCB layout, estimate task efforts, and maintain BOM in PLM.
• Collaborate with manufacturing for production tests and guide sustaining engineering on obsolescence.

Requirements

• US Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR/EAR compliance required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 9+ years owning designs from concept to production, leading multi-subsystem development with mechanical/firmware teams.
• Proficiency in Altium Designer, SPICE/SI/PI tools, PCB stackup/HDI, signal propagation.
• Expertise in 3+ UAV technologies (e.g., BLDC motors, inertial sensors, GPS, Li-Ion batteries, cameras, radios).
• Experience automating tests with Python, using lab equipment, writing reports.
