What you will do

• Diagnose and repair UAV hardware/software issues, including component-level repairs, soldering, and calibrations.
• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, firmware/software updates, and system integrations.
• Conduct field-based testing, repairs, unboxing, preflight checks, and rapid turn repairs at customer locations.
• Provide on-site technical training, best-practice guidance, and capture field feedback for improvements.
• Complete service documentation, work orders, test reports, and ensure compliance with aviation regulations/safety standards.

Requirements

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate with 100+ flight hours
• 4+ years hands-on experience with UAV systems, hardware/software integration, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair
• Strong electronics, avionics, mechanical troubleshooting; experience with quadcopter, VTOL, FPV platforms
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools (multimeters, circuit testers)
• Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and customer-facing skills
• Experience using MS Office Suite; willingness to obtain HAZMAT certifications if required
• Ability to pass background check; U.S. Citizen/PR for ITAR/EAR compliance

Nice to have

• DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain
• Prior military experience
• Technical certification/degree in electronics, avionics, or related field
• Experience with DoD, public safety, or enterprise UAV programs
