What you will do

• Define the GNC architecture for rendezvous missions and manage subsystem requirements.
• Develop GNC software prototypes, simulators, and test specifications.
• Perform GNC subsystem verification using Engineering Model (EM) hardware and dedicated testbeds.
• Define risks and risk mitigation strategies for the GNC subsystem.
• Develop GNC FDIR (Fault/Failure Detection, Isolation, and Recovery) processes.
• Collaborate with the System Architect and program management on system-level trade-offs.

Requirements

• Proven experience in GNC development, verification, and algorithm design (navigation filters, guidance strategies, controllers).
• Hands-on experience with GNC hardware integration and testing.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and Python for aerospace simulations.
• Programming experience in C/C++.
• Degree (BSc/MSc) in aerospace engineering or a related engineering/science discipline.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in London, UK.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of digital electronics relevant to GNC (communication protocols, satellite Command & Data Handling).
• Experience with on-orbit GNC analysis, debugging, and refinement.
• Expertise in GNC rendezvous and pose estimation sensors and methods.
• Experience in satellite trajectory design (safety ellipses, abort maneuvers, collision avoidance).
