What you will do

• Build complex multi-physics models spanning single-phase, multiphase, and coupled CFD-DEM regimes.
• Develop and validate DEM models for granular and particle-laden systems, including fluidised beds and aerosols.
• Create robust parametric CAD models and automate simulation pipelines for advanced design optimization and DoE studies.
• Partner with global customers on-site to solve complex engineering challenges and present actionable results.
• Generate high-quality simulation datasets to train machine learning and deep learning surrogate models.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a culture of engineering rigour and collaboration.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of post-graduate industry experience in a commercial environment.
• MEng, MSc, or PhD in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering.
• Expertise in multiphase CFD (VOF, Euler-Euler, Euler-Lagrange) and DEM modelling.
• Proficiency in Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM, or Fluent.
• Experience with Python scripting and simulation automation.
• Must be based in London or able to commute to the office 2-3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with reacting flows and phase-change processes.
• Proficiency in parametric CAD modelling using NX or CATIA.
