TL;DR

Sales Engineer (KS): Drive sales of steam energy solutions and technical products to end users and distributors in the Kansas territory with an accent on energy management, production efficiency, safety, and sustainability goals. Focus on developing territory business plans, conducting boardroom presentations, training customers, and building long-term repeat business through cold calling and account prioritization.

Remote, but must be located in the Kansas market/territory (KS, United States)

What you will do

  • Jointly call on end users with sales teams to support efforts and deliver energy solutions.
  • Develop distribution channel relationships through planning and technical training.
  • Create and execute territory business plans to exceed sales forecasts and grow market share.
  • Build customer relationships for repeat business and collaborate on Top 25 account lists.
  • Assess sales potential, prioritize accounts, and use cold calling to penetrate the market.
  • Train end users on products via presentations and provide accurate quotations and order support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years outside sales experience selling technical/industrial products; STEAM experience preferred
  • Ability to conduct boardroom-style presentations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Valid driver’s license compliant with company policies
  • Familiar with and based in the Kansas market
