What you will do

• Lead and mentor embedded software developers on firmware for solar edge devices.
• Drive planning, architecture, and execution of embedded software projects.
• Collaborate with hardware teams on interfaces and system performance.
• Oversee firmware design, implementation, debugging, testing, and security features like secure boot and encrypted updates.
• Guide integration of wireless protocols (Wi-SUN, Wi-Fi HaLow, Zigbee, Bluetooth) for field connectivity.
• Influence embedded systems roadmap and enforce best practices (version control, CI/CD, code review).

Requirements

• Fluency in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years embedded software development; 2+ years technical leadership/management.
• Proficient in C/C++, Javascript, real-time firmware, MQTT, RTOS, microcontrollers, peripherals, interrupt-driven design.
• Experience with board bring-up, device drivers, bootloaders, interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, GPIO).
• Strong knowledge of wireless protocols (802.11, BLE, Wi-SUN, Wi-Fi HaLow, Sub-GHz RF) and hardware schematics/debugging.
• Proven leadership, Agile processes, and cross-functional communication.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Embedded Systems or related.
• Experience in industrial/solar/energy firmware.
• Python/scripting, Git/Jira/CI-CD, embedded Linux/bare-metal, wireless mesh/security protocols.
• Cloud/edge computing knowledge.
