What you will do
- Review geotechnical reports for global projects and assess soil and rock conditions and strength parameters.
- Design open and pile foundations using LPILE and internally developed tools.
- Develop corrosion designs for steel piles under different subsurface conditions according to local standards.
- Plan pile load testing, review and interpret test reports, and prepare final foundation design documentation.
- Support the CAD team with foundation drawings and other project deliverables.
- Address geotechnical challenges during construction and coordinate with Engineering, Sales, Project Management, and R&D teams.
Requirements
- Chinese and English speaking skills are required.
- M.E. or M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering; experienced and fresh candidates may apply.
- Knowledge of SPT, CPT, and DCPT field tests and their correlations.
- Knowledge of open and pile foundations, including SBC, settlement, and axial and lateral pile capacity calculations.
- Knowledge of collapsible, liquefiable, swelling, and frost-susceptible soils, as well as pile load testing and report analysis.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, design-tool development, LPILE, and strong written and verbal communication.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of load-transfer mechanisms, Staad.Pro, RISA, or FEM software.
- Knowledge of international standards and experience across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, or Australia.
- Programming experience with VBA or Python.
- Renewable-energy industry experience.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work effectively in a team.
