What you will do
- Operate and maintain critical infrastructure across distributed data centres and colocation sites.
- Liaise with internal teams, data centre providers, colocation providers, vendors, contractors, consultants, and operations teams.
- Support technical project management and the build-out and fit-out of data centres and colocation sites.
- Assess operational risk and make well-reasoned engineering decisions to support facility uptime.
- Review and supervise SOPs, EOPs, and MOPs for reactive maintenance and critical system operations.
- Coordinate with IT groups to gather and assess data centre build requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in project management, design, commissioning, construction, maintenance, or operations of mission-critical data centres, trading floors, or similar 24/7 facilities.
- Experience managing projects and operations for mission-critical facilities and data centre providers.
- Strong understanding of MEP components, including switchgear, UPS, generators, STS, PDU, RPP, chillers, CRAH units, VESDA, pre-action systems, and BMS.
- Understanding of redundancy levels, reactive maintenance, and IT requirements within data centres.
- Strong communication, organisation, autonomy, judgement, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English is required. Flexibility to work nights and weekends and willingness to travel 4–6 weeks per year are required.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin.
- Knowledge of direct liquid cooling systems.
