Salary: $131,000 – $180,900

What you will do

• Investigate and evaluate occupant protection systems (airbags, seatbelts) and vehicle dynamics (brakes, steering) in field incidents.
• Collect and interpret field data, including photos, videos, and Event Data Recorder (EDR) information.
• Provide technical assessments and expert testimony to support legal counsel in product liability matters.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations on investigation findings for internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (current or eligible to obtain).
• 5-10+ years of experience in automotive design, testing, or product investigations.
• Hands-on experience with vehicle inspections, teardowns, and diagnostic interrogation.
• Must have valid work authorization for Canada; no immigration sponsorship is provided.
• Ability and willingness to travel within Canada and occasionally to the U.S.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related Engineering field.
• Experience in accident reconstruction or safety system development.
• Proficiency in Bosch CDR tools and software.
• French language proficiency.
• DFSS Green/Black Belt certification.
