TL;DR

Land Agents (NY): Negotiate and secure legal land agreements including rights-of-way, easements, and leases for energy infrastructure projects with an accent on stakeholder engagement and title research. Location: Based out of Albany, New York and surrounding cities. Preference for local candidates; relocation fee or per diem available if not local.

What you will do

• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, local governments, and community organizations.
• Negotiate acquisitions of easements, leases, permits, and damage settlements.
• Examine public records for land ownership and title chains.
• Analyze land values and required rights for projects.
• Track milestones and report progress to leadership.
• Document all communications and comply with processes and safety policies.

Requirements

• Associate's degree with at least 2 years of land services experience in the energy industry.
• Knowledge of real estate principles.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple deadlines, and travel with flexible hours.
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Earth, and interpreting legal documents.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify).
