TL;DR

Senior Finance Manager (Fixed Term Contract): Planning, coordinating and delivering core financial accounting and reporting activity with an accent on reconciliations, estimates, controls and high-quality data outputs. Focus on overseeing finance data delivery, managing outsourced engineers, supporting change initiatives and collaborating across Finance, Actuarial, Data and Risk teams.

What you will do

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver core financial accounting and reporting activity
  • Provide senior review, challenge and guidance across reconciliations, estimates, controls and reporting outputs
  • Manage day-to-day finance activity to ensure accurate, timely and high-quality financial information
  • Oversee the Finance Data Delivery Solution and set priorities for finance data outputs
  • Coordinate and manage outsourced data engineers and finance data delivery activity
  • Support finance change initiatives by assessing impacts, contributing to testing and implementation
  • Work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Actuarial, Data, Systems and Risk teams
  • Promote strong controls, governance and fair customer outcomes

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with strong technical accounting experience in a complex environment
  • Experience delivering and reviewing financial accounting and reporting outputs to deadlines
  • Confidence working with finance data, systems or reporting platforms
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, governance and audit interaction
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across different teams
  • Clear communication skills with confidence to provide constructive challenge
  • Collaborative mindset with flexible and adaptable approach to change

Nice to have

  • Experience within insurance, retirement, asset management or similar regulated environment
