What you will do

• Maintain and improve equipment performance and reliability within a cross-functional Engineering Maintenance Team.
• Lead structured problem-solving initiatives to identify root causes of equipment performance issues.
• Develop and implement improvement plans and preventative actions to eliminate automation failures.
• Coach and mentor colleagues on machine automation and troubleshooting.
• Liaise with stakeholders across Engineering, IT, Quality, and Safety to improve automation design.
• Champion hardware/software standardization and lead software design reviews and debugging for complex issues.

Requirements

• Minimum NFQ Level 8 Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
• Deep understanding of AB, Cognex, and Keyence.
• At least 4 years of experience in an engineering capacity, preferably in highly regulated environments.
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Galway, Ireland.

Nice to have

• Experience in the medical device field.
• Proficiency with Siemens, Beckhoff, Trio Motion Perfect, Kuka, Epson, UR Robots, Visual Studio, or PackML.
