Senior Enterprise Applications Developer (Python)

Location: Irvine, CA or San Diego, CA; in-office position. The role may require business travel.

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Define enterprise application architectures, integration patterns, development standards, technical roadmaps, and solution designs.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications, APIs, microservices, serverless applications, and web-based solutions using Python and other modern technologies.
• Build integrations across Salesforce, SaaS platforms, cloud services, databases, data platforms, and third-party partners.
• Develop REST APIs, ETL/ELT pipelines, event-driven workflows, and data quality solutions with monitoring, error handling, reconciliation, and auditability.
• Deliver workflow automation, intelligent document processing, AI-enabled applications, and agentic workflows with appropriate security, privacy, governance, and human oversight.
• Lead technical initiatives, review designs and code, mentor developers, troubleshoot production issues, and coordinate with business stakeholders, architects, vendors, and technical teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise software, integrations, data solutions, or automation in complex business environments.
• Advanced Python proficiency and strong knowledge of another modern programming language or framework such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or C#/.NET.
• Experience with REST APIs, web services, event-driven integrations, cloud-native development, data integrations, ETL/ELT pipelines, and strong SQL skills.
• Hands-on experience delivering workflow automation, AI-enabled applications, LLM integrations, or agentic solutions in a business environment.
• Strong knowledge of Git, automated testing, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, security, software development lifecycles, architecture, troubleshooting, and technical communication.

Nice to have

• Salesforce development, administration, platform architecture, or integration experience.
• Experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, Glue, Athena, Redshift, DynamoDB, ECS, or SageMaker.
• Experience with front-end frameworks, containers, infrastructure as code, data warehouses, data lakes, analytics platforms, or automation and integration platforms.
• Experience with LLM orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, intelligent document processing, or secure AI operations.
• Healthcare, medical device, life sciences, financial services, or other regulated-industry experience; relevant technical certifications.
