What you will do

• Design and develop medical devices from initial concept through design freeze, verification, validation, and commercialization.
• Work from clinical needs to opportunity assessment, device concepts, and prototypes.
• Interact with physicians to translate needs into product requirements and concepts.
• Identify and mitigate technological risks, contribute to technical innovation, and generate intellectual property.
• Interface with team members, suppliers, and support sustaining activities for existing designs.
• Delegate work and coach less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years relevant direct engineering experience in medical device environment.
• Dynamic team player able to work proactively on cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Medical device product development experience.
• Technical experience in DOE, Six Sigma, DFM.
• Experience interfacing with physicians and translating feedback to device concepts.
