What you will do

• Define and execute the engineering strategy across frontend, backend, data, and infrastructure.
• Hire, develop, and retain engineering managers and engineers, fostering a culture of accountability.
• Partner with the CPO and Product team to translate roadmaps into scalable delivery.
• Own the technical architecture of a multi-tenant SaaS platform for large-scale research data pipelines.
• Ensure the platform meets enterprise security and privacy requirements including SOC 2, GDPR, and ISO 27001.
• Manage engineering budgets, headcount planning, and vendor relationships.

Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering with 5+ years in leadership roles managing teams of 20+.
• Proven track record scaling data-heavy B2B SaaS platforms.
• Strong command of AWS, microservices architecture, and modern API design.
• Fluency in data engineering and AI/ML integration practices.
• Must be based in UK, Spain, France, Poland, or Italy.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to have

• Background in market research, survey platforms, or consumer insights technology.
• Prior experience leading SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR compliance programmes.
• MBA or other advanced degrees.
