What you will do
- Develop and execute proactive territory growth strategies to drive incremental demand and increase solution penetration.
- Manage long-term, high-contract-value sales cycles from initial discovery through technical validation and final procurement.
- Build relationships with C-level and Director-level stakeholders to align technical initiatives with measurable business outcomes.
- Collaborate with Value-Added Resellers (VARs) and Distributors to strategically access new buying centers.
- Orchestrate the internal Deal Team (Sales Engineering, Product Management, Legal, Finance) to navigate complex procurement hurdles.
- Partner with Customer Success to ensure 100% renewal rates and identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven track record of managing 6-figure and 7-figure sales cycles within large, global organizations.
- Deep understanding of the database landscape (SQL Server, Oracle, Azure, AWS) and challenges of managing data at scale.
- Extensive experience working with major IT resellers and distributors.
- Mastery of presenting complex technical solutions as high-level business value propositions.
- Must be based in Austin, Texas or able to operate in a field-based environment in the region.
- Ability to travel 25–40% for face-to-face customer meetings and industry trade shows.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of enterprise software sales experience, preferably in Database Performance Monitoring (DPM) or Infrastructure Management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with enterprise sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, or Sandler.
- Existing network of enterprise database stakeholders or channel partner relationships.
