Salary: $174,900 - $222,000

What you will do

• Lead medium-to-large technical initiatives for the Notification Platform, coordinating requirements and milestones across teams.
• Design, develop, and deploy core platform services using clean, maintainable code.
• Improve system resiliency, observability, and operational efficiency through automation and SLO-focused engineering.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineering partners to define technical approaches and deliver capabilities end-to-end.
• Mentor junior engineers through design and code reviews and technical guidance.
• Drive adoption of best practices for distributed systems, cloud-native design, and CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of industry experience in designing and operating distributed or high-availability, high-throughput production systems.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with microservices, asynchronous messaging, and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Must have valid US work authorization without need for current or future sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with mission-critical services requiring strict SLAs and SLOs.
• Expertise in messaging platforms, notification systems, or event streaming technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Helm and service mesh.
