Civil Engineer II

Location: Hybrid role based in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States, with the listed office location in Midvale, Utah.

Salary: $89,043–$140,243 per year

What you will do

• Prepare civil engineering designs and plans for site development, grading, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure projects.
• Perform engineering calculations, hydrology and hydraulic analyses, and technical documentation.
• Support project delivery from conceptual design through construction, including construction-phase services, contractor questions, and submittal reviews.
• Coordinate with project managers, technical leads, internal disciplines, clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, construction documents, and permitting materials.
• Help maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3–5 years of related civil engineering experience.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
• Experience with land development, including site grading, earthwork, utility design, stormwater management, drainage, hydrology, hydraulics, and construction plans.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong communication, independent working, collaboration, attention to detail, and quality-focused skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Federal, Department of Defense, or Federal Aviation Administration projects.
• Familiarity with local and state permitting processes.
• Progress toward Professional Engineer licensure.
