Staff Project Engineer (Aerospace): Leading complex and large-scale projects such as new production introduction (NPI) and internal R&D for spacecraft propulsion systems with an accent on technical execution, budget management, and cross-functional leadership. Focus on delivering rocket engines and propellant tanks while ensuring adherence to DoD requirements and EVMS standards.
Location: Onsite in Niagara Falls, NY (being based in East Aurora with occasional travel to Niagara Falls is also considered)
Salary: $140,000–$180,000 Annually

What you will do
- Lead cross-functional and cross-site project teams through complex programs, ranging from high-volume production to new product development.
- Manage project budget, scope, and schedule commitments as the primary technical point of contact.
- Develop new product requirements by consulting with customers and sales personnel.
- Validate conceptual problem solutions using trade studies and analyses.
- Lead successful proposals and cost estimates, including writing the technical volume.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and help establish best practices for project engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Advanced degree MS, PhD, or MBA preferred).
- At least 12 years of progressive experience, including 5 years leading or supporting complex development projects.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance and access to U.S. export-controlled information.
- Must pass a full physical, including bloodwork and pulmonary function testing.
- Strong proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVMS).
- Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills.
